Our apartment is located in a quiet and peaceful alley of the wonderful center historic Lecce, 50 meters from Piazza Sant’Oronzo and 30 from Piazzetta Santa Chiara. Our desire is to allow you to discover our city, staying in a place that guarantees all the comforts a home has.
Piazza Sant’Oronzo is today the true center of the city hosting the wonderful Roman amphitheater. At the center of the square there is the Sedile, a parallelepiped construction, with large pointed arches, rich friezes, with heraldic crests of the city and of Philip III of Spain, trophies, armor, high angular pillars and a wide Renaissance loggia in the upper part with three arches-windows bordered by balustrades. Beside the Seat there is the Church of San Marco, memory of the secular relationships that united the Serenissima in Lecce, which housed in its walls a thriving colony of Venetian merchants and in some of its churches still preserves objects art sent from Venice. Piazza Sant’Oronzo also overlooks the classic facade of the Church of S. Maria delle Grazie, built between 1590 and 1606, whose vertical momentum is emphasized by the presence of the statues of the Madonna of angels.
